Counter Currents
Counter Currents is an exhibition exploring themes of climate justice, envisioned by Claudy Jongstra in collaboration with et galerie. This exhibition invites deep engagement with the natural world through materiality and plant-based colour, bringing vibrant ecologies to life – both compositionally and in the real transformation of landscapes with biodynamic agriculture. Claudy Jongstra’s deep commitment to fostering, nurturing, and translating biodiversity into art speaks to ecological resilience at a time when that message is urgently needed.

'Counter Currents' is the inaugural exhibition for et galerie, established alongside award-winning architectural practice Luce et studio, led by Jennifer Luce. Located in their La Jolla studio, et galerie is a showcase for objects, furniture, and works that transcend traditional definitions of art, blurring the lines between craft, design, and creative expression.
Jongstra's collaboration with Luce et studio began with the celebrated architectural transformation of Mingei International Museum in 2021. Luce brought the commitment to handcraft and artistry, shared by Jongstra and Mingei, together with the permanent installation of 'Truth and Beauty in Black'.
